What do you mean, "don't ever ever post (in the forum) things that the site has a dedicated section for"???
The goal of this site is to organize content that the roleplaying community regularly contributes or wants access to. This includes:

• character introductions
• character lore
• guild bios
• guild lore
• faqs
• articles

These types of content will be organized as first-class citizens of this site. The forum will be used strictly for communication and ad-hoc RP!

So, how do I post that type of content?
The site is being set up to allow contributions of this type. You may register for the forum, and this login will later allow you to post content on other portions of the site.

When you see a "Log In" box at the top of every page (next to the logo), you'll know that this feature has been added to the site. Until then, a thread in the forum will be monitored actively by a moderator, with which you may post links to content you'd like put on the site. You can point to a personal blog, a forum somewhere, or whatever you like.
