"MISSING?" Luxon guards of the Deep near Cavalon were unable to stop a raging psychotic woman from charging into the depths alone earlier this week. Reports from eye-witnesses also claim to have seen a company of demons dragging another man into the Deep sometime earlier, but guards have been unable to breach the defenses. The woman who later entered emerged sometime afterward, but no sign has been seen of the man. Again, Luxon officials caution against going anywhere near the Deep.

"WEREWOLF ACTIVITY?" According to the Canthan Guard, werewolf activity has plummeted drastically, leaving the civilian population to wonder if the threat has passed, or merely calmed before the great storm. Information regarding the werewolves is in dire need, and the Emperor's Hand is offering gold rewards for any who turn up such needed information.

"ASCALON'S REBIRTH?" The cries of the mysterious sage claiming the rebirth of Ascalon have fallen silent in these days, leading to several other groups in Ascalon seeking to reclaim their fallen birthrights. The nation has become increasingly restless at the prospects of winning the war against the Charr, and indeed, the Ascalon military has redoubled its efforts.

"BRUTAL ATTACK!" Reports have come in from North Kryta of a violent attack on the Ascalon Settlement. Details are sketchy at best, but the attacker was reported to have resembled a spectral necrid horseman who was adept in aeromancy. Survivors mentioned the horseman screaming over and over, "Look upon me and despair!" Still recovering from the Searing, this has come as a heavy blow to the community.

"LUNAR ECLIPSE" Krytan, Elonian, and Canthan astrologers were particularly excited this last week when a total lunar eclipse occured- a certain rarity. Having been visable from all three continents, many people gathered to observe the event in the sky. While some people believe such eclipses are omens of dark times to come or certain doom, others consider them to be great omens of fortune and prosperity.

"WEREWOLVES?" Recently, many reports of roving wolves accompanied by humanoid biped wolves have circulated, although the majority of the Canthan populace has, until now, generally believed them to be myth. However, mid-week saw the dispelling of this belief during the total lunar eclipse when a large pack of them was spotted on the streets of Kaineng headed for the Undercity. The Imperial Guard has turned up very little about their current location, however, as they lost them in the winding sewers.

"THE CAT'S EYE" The Cat's Eye was returned to the Imperial authorities early last week much to the relief of the Emperor. Although the artifact was returned, however, disturbing rumors have circulated that the artifact has somehow lost its power. The Emperor's Hand, however, denies these statements.

"KIDNAPPED!" The pirate Blake Neptune kidnapped Melisande Fei this week. She is the daughter of a prominent member of the Celestial Ministry. The ransom note was delivered by Jaiju Tai, who is usually found in Lion's Arch, and contained one of the girls' bracelets for authenticity. Minister Fei is requesting the help in finding his only child, preferring to pay reward money over a ransom. He is offering 15k for any information leading somewhere.

"DOOMSAYERS?" Recently, an older man by the name of Donald Yerzath has been making trips to many of the Luxon towns bordering the entry to the Deep- the demon lord Kanaxai's realm. The man has managed to upset the delicate peace even in Cavalon by preaching the end times with the arrival of demon armies. Naturally, the Turtle Clan has banished this man from the Jade Sea to prevent civil unrest, but while the exact nature of it remains to be seen, demonic activity has continued to steadily increase in the Deep.

"THE CAT'S EYE STOLEN!" Earlier this week, the royal relic- the Cat's Eye- was stolen from its place in Shing Jea Monastery. Imperial guards, despite putting up a courageous fight, were found brutally slaughtered by the thief. The Ministry of Flame wasted several days before putting up a large reward of 40,000 GP for the return of the amulet or 20,000 GP for information concerning the whereabouts of either the amulet or the thief. The amulet is described as being similar to a lunar token, but with a three-point star on the back. The Ministry of Flame warns that the amulet is extremely dangerous in the wrong hands and should not be tampered with.
